• PSS maintained weapons qualifications for the Glock, M4, Shotgun, M240, M249, M203 and familiar with AK47.

• Performed the day-to-day protective security functions as specified in daily post and detail orders.

• Drove the lead vehicle, principal’s vehicle, or follow-vehicle, whenever required in motorcade operations.

• Instructor for Afghan Border Police program. Directly instructed Afghan Border Police Officers at 5 weeks academy.

• Primarily assigned as Lead Firearms Instructor.

• Assisted in Small Unit Tactics operations instruction. Instructed students on urban operations/movement, compound clearing (close quarters battle), tactical patrolling, movement, interdiction operations and general tactical principles.

• Firearms instruction/live fire with the following weapon systems: PKM and RPK machineguns, AK-47, Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol, Remington 870 shotgun.

• Instructed classes on tactical vehicle movement, operation and maintenance

• I also regularly participate in vehicle convoy movements, security and daily operation in a high threat/austere environment.

• Zone One mentoring team lead.

• Prior to being deployed to Afghanistan I received specialized training in convoy

operations, working as a personal security operator, basic combat first aid,

Middle Eastern history and culture, conflict resolutions, human rights violations,

use of force issues, and weapons training. I completed the training successfully

at the Crucible Kroll facility in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

• As the Zone One mentoring team lead I was responsible for the planning and

execution of all convoy movements which included protective details for

company and government officials.

• Convoyed to all zone one police stations in Kabul daily where I taught internationally accepted Democratic Policing methods to the Afghan National Police. Provided training on multiple subjects including: Human Rights, Rule of Law, and Community Oriented Policing.

• Mentored Senior Afghan National Police Commanders on the aspects of Democratic Policing such as: Personnel/ Finance, Operations, Logistics, and Training.

• Firearms instruction/with live fire and qualified with the following weapons systems: M4, M9, Ak-47, and M240B
