I would like to work and assest the engineers and work with engines and to work to become a license engineer.

• Tug boat Na Hiku , Barge Harbor, Campbell Industrial

• Maintenance and preserve the engine department system, system equipments, and equipment components (diesel) on vessel

• Un/Booming fuel barge

• SPM /Assisting and Hooking up hose line to tanker ships

• Operate tug boat from port to port and assist barge into harbor.

• Inter island trips assisting tanker men on fuel barges

• Basic deckhand duties (skillful knowledge with basic tools, cleaning items, all types of paints, solvents and degreasers)

B: basic fire fighting trining Requirements of 46 CFR 10.205(g)and 10.401(g)(1)for a license;

C: Fire fighting training requirements of CFR 13.113(d)(2)(i)(A), 13.113(e)(1)(A)or (B),13.201(e),13.301(e) or 13.501(e) for any tankerman endorsement


Skils


Detroit and Caterpillar engines:

Knowledge of operation of both type of engines, pre-check engine daily, service port & starboard, generator, and compressor

Change filters: oil, fuel primary and secondary, record fuel, air, and hydraulics

Change of hoses: water, oil, hydraulics

Change of oils: engine, hydraulic, generator, and compressor

Change the air lines, and gauges, adjust the steering linkage, change heat exchangers

Remove heads of engines.

Cleaning the sea strainers this part of the sea chest

For safety must wear safety vest at all time, proper foot wear, have proper gloves for pulling and handling lines, Knowledge any spills on the deck that may cause any falling or slipping, such as oil, water etc. Fire extinguisher must be in proper places that all crew are aware of and be in functional working order. Being aware of what is in and around the tug boat and making aware to all crew and caption of what is not safe.

I make sure that the caption is in good health also.



I have traveled with a vessel and a oil barge and have assist tanker man with fueling, I am currently working with smith in assisting oil ships that come to Hawaii at Tesoro at their SPM terminal
