Jan – Jun 2007: Wharf Superintendent/Supervisor

o Liaise with Ship Captain on ship’s information. This includes ship’s particulars, overall length, registry, last port next port of call, cross and net tonnage of ship, ownership and operator-ship, arrival, berthing/unberthing times and along side timing.



o Compile above data and submit ship-boarding report to port officers for imposing of appropriate charges and input of data.



o Maintain communication with shipping agents and ship captains in regard to the vessels ETA and ETD.



o Berthing as well as unberthing, boarding and sailing of vessels.



o Ensuring that container discharge and load list for each vessel is obtained and entered immediately into the system.



o Assisting port officers in entering shipping agents manifest list into the system.



o Providing assistance to Assistant/Port Manager ensuring effective and efficient port operation to achieve intended result.



o Monitor/Supervise stevedoring usage of proper equipment for maneuvering of ship and cargo storage to ensure cargo handling is in compliance with Port Authority’s regulations.



o Ensuring all miscellaneous charges sighted are recorded and reported to port officers for invoicing without further delays. Such as fresh water tonnage supplied to ships, power usage, off/on, transshipment storage charges and measurements of break bulk cargoes.
