Watch Captain (Cook)

Objective


I would like to work on a ship that deploys for 2 or 3 months and then is in port for 2 or 3 months.


Experience


Served in the U.S NAVY for 23 years, 16 years as a Cook and 4 years as a Patrolman. I served on 3 different ships as a Cook. The USS SEATTLE AOE-3 from July 1982 until Feb 1985. The USS PHILIPPINE SEA CG-58 from July 1991 until April 1995. And the USS MOOSBRUGGER DD-980 from June 1998 until Dec 2000. On each ship I was responsible for making sure that the food was prepared and served on time, and that all sanitation standards were kept at their highest.


Education


Graduated from R.J REYNOLDS SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in Winston-Salem N.C in 1979. Completed Navy Mess Management School in San Diego C.A in 1982. Completed Navy Law Enforcement School in San Antonio TX in Jan 2001.

STCW-95, MMD CARD,


Skils


Some experience in Word, Culinary Skills, Security Guard, M9 Pistol Training


 


I have also worked as a receptionist at a Navy Bachelor Officers Quarters making reservations, checking guest in and out.
