Experience


Trace Systems Inc. SNAP/WPPL-D Field Support Rep Nov 2012-present

Serves as a primary RF FSR for U.S. Marines Corps bases in Southern Afghan

Experience with Mesh IP networks over radio (WPPL-D

Extensive knowledge of a broad range of IT concepts, principles, methods and practices

Maintained and deployed SIPR NIPR Access Point (SNAP), Support Wide Area Network (SWAN) and

Wireless Point to Point Link (WPPL) in support of USMC deployed networks operating in Southern Afghanistan.

Provided both on-site and over-the-phone elevated support for Marines and FSRs operating from remote locations.

Responsible for maintaining the Master Reference Terminal (MRT) and Assistant Master Reference

Terminal (AMRT) allowing for 24/7 network connectivity to a Linkway managed TDMA network.

Worked in the Service Repair Center for systems when they were damaged beyond field repair. This

included all aspects of electronic and RF diagnostics and troubleshooting as well as RMA and Maintenance Log

processes which remained 100% customer-facing.

Provided bi-weekly, formal classroom instruction to customers who required 'operator' status on the SNAP and WPPL tactical network systems.

Experience with system operations, engineering, design, installation, repair analysis, quality assurance, troubleshooting or installation and repair of telecommunications systems and infrastructure to applicable military and I3MP standards

Experience with basic and complex network concepts

Received and fulfilled work orders for installation of Cable and Cable internet in 2 state area.

Installed RG-6 cable in “home-run” for each outlet from demarcation point of customers premises

Installed line taps to compensate for calculated Db signal loss

Troubleshoot cable and cable internet issues till resolution was attained

Installed necessary software to support RF/Cable/Ethernet devices

Climbed utility poles to service and install cable services

Excellent understanding of underlying communications principles including attenuation, multiplexing,

Duplex-signal travel, digital, analog, and radio frequency



Direct TV Satellite Installer Chattanooga, TN May 2005- Jun 2006

Received and fulfilled work orders for installing satellite systems in a 3 state area.

Installed satellite dishes which are peaked to 3 satellites simultaneously

Ran RG-6 and phone cable to each receiver and peaked in the signal to maximum performance.

Tools used include: DigiSat / Signal Meter, Compass / Inclinometer, various related hand tools

Completed dish upgrades and TIVO/DVR additional outlet installs.

Trouble-shot signal problems from the LNB to the receiver and replaced faulty equipment if required.

Licensed by SBCA for residential and commercial installations
