Objective


With my past work experiences gained from the commercial crude Tanker Chartering/Operation/Shipping sector, i hope to be able to play a role in contributing the added value services and success to the Commercial Operation arena, of the prospective shipping/marine organization.

Skils


Main Areas of Responsibility



a) Properly and timely convey voyage instructions, including relevant details from the governing charter party and other information applicable for the

particular voyage and/or employment to the vessels, port agents and other relevant parties.



b) Responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the relevant vessel(s),including but not limited to



- Timely tendering of Notices

- Monitoring/Control of vessels' speed & bunker consumption

- Monitoring/Control of vessels' cargo intakes, bunker

requirements, fresh water, Diesel etc

- Procurement of bunkers through the selected suppliers.

- Scheduling of vessels' port stay, include monitoring of

pumping performance to optimize greater turnaround time.



c) Ensure that - Bill(s) of Lading is/are always issued in

accordance with the relating Charter Party and that they

contain all clauses as prescribed in current

instructions to the Master.



- Original Bill(s) of Lading is/are presented before

commencement of discharge or alternatively obtains an

acceptable indemnification i.e. from Charterers



- Accomplished Bill(s) of Lading is/are received without

undue delay after completion of discharge.



d) Responsible for

- Appointment of agents for vessel’s port, bunker calls etc.

- Issuing and collection of freight, T/C hire and deadfrt

- Issuing of claims for heating, shifting, deviation and

miscellaneous



- Various administrative functions including:

- Updating of in-house Shipping operational system

- Operational procedures for vessels employed in Pools

and/or Time Chartered-In

- Evaluating Pre/Post Voyage analysis



e) Recommend to the Team Leader/Manager(Comm Ops Department)

on any operational procedures, which will improve the

operation efficiency of the ships



f) Develop and maintain close business relations with

customers ie charterers, traders, terminals, port agents

and other relevant parties



g) Assist in coordinating the dry docking schedule of the

vessels in consultation with

technical/Chartering/Operation Department.


 


Computer Literacy

Proficient in Windows, MS products such as Outlook, Word, and other software’s commonly used in today’s industry.

English (good), Chinese/Mandarin (fair) Malay (basic)
