Experience
Currently working as a Junior Manager (Terminal Systems), in Sri Lanka Ports Authority from December, 2010 my main responsibilities are focused as a vessel planner in the Jaye Container Terminal and I am highly competent in carrying out plans through NAVIS SPARCS & EXPRESS (3.70 Version) while monitoring the vessel operation, supervising yard planning and equipment control and managing the yard and vessel operation as a Duty Officer in 24 hour roster work.
Moreover, I am well capable in making strategic and quick decisions to maintain effective resource allocation and successfully attend to the requirements of vessel agents, freight forwarders and all other customers in order to achieve the KPIs of the terminal. I have been assigned to lead several projects in team environments within my organization and I have successfully completed the tasks and delivered superior results expected by the management.
Lucratively completed six month internship progamme (2008-2009), conducted by SOUTH ASIA GATEWAY TERMINALS (PVT.) LTD under the supervision of the management and exposed to all the core functions of a container terminal including overall basic knowledge of port operations management.
Education
Successfully completed Master of Business Administration (MBA) offered by Australian Institute of Business (AIB) in August 2014.
B.Sc. (Hons.) in Transport and Logistics Management, University of Moratuwa Sri Lanka, Achieving a Second Upper Class Level, Degree completed in 01st of October 2010.
Certification
Productively completed the Training Programme on SHIP OPERATIONS & MANAGEMENT conducted by Department of Transport & Logistics Management, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka from September to October 2014 while effectively collaborating with the professionals in shipping industry of Sri Lanka.
Successfully completed the training programme on PORT MANAGEMENT FOR ASIAN COUNTRIES IN 2014 at Ningbo Polytechnic University, Peoples’ Republic of China from March to April, 2014.
Member of Charted Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), UK from September 2013 onwards.

Projects
Effectively Completed the Project of TOTAL COSTING ANALYSIS to revise the costing and tariff structure in Sri Lanka Ports Authority minimizing the loop holes and gaining maximum profits to the vessel operation which is successfully implemented in 2014.
Team Leader of the Project Concept designed for DRY PORT ESTABLISHMENT facilitating the effective logistics operations through deviating external traffic and logistics functions outside port premises via rail transportation while generating various multiplier benefits to stakeholders of Sri Lanka Ports Authority in 2012.
