Objective
Iam a committed worker and therefore i would like to have a chance to show my ability and skills in the industry that I always needed to be in,also in the near future I would like to advance my career by climing up the ranks,this is if I get the seatime required,so that I can get back to maritime college and be ready for any internal promotions or external, depending on your side of the table. I believe in loyalty, for employers that are loyal to their employees,it is an honour to return the favour.
Experience
18-August1997:I engaged my first ship,the contract was between myself and a German company reederei NORD,I joined the ship on the date above in okpo SOUTH KOREA,we were the maiden crew to board the ship from DAEWOO shipyard.It was a container ship,and its capacity was 24,053GRT,I was employed as a OS3 DECK,my main responsibilities was to work together with the AB's and the ships BOSUN according to the task given by the chief officer everyday onboard,at sea we do alot of painting,monitoring reefer containers,greasing all ships gears,bridge watchkeeping,life-boat and fire drills,seamanship maintenance,etc.In port we do gangway duties,operating ships-cranes for provisions and stores,hatch-man duties on cargo operations,ship security,etc.I finished my contract on 30-October1998 and discharged the vessel in Norfolk, VIRGINIA,USA,the name of the ship was M.V.PANAMERICAN. 14-FEBRUARY1998:I engaged with another German shipping company reederei F.LEISZ.The ship was a container ship with a capacity of 53,324GRT, responsibility were much the same as my previous employment, this time I was employed as a OS2 DECK,some of my new duties is to help with the engine department if there is a engine part to be overhauled or part of the engine room to be cleaned,I joined the ship in HONG KONG and also disembarked in the same port on the 05-March2000. The name of the ship was M.V.POHANG SENATOR. 2001-2003 I was based on shore working for a civil construction company FULTON&HOGAN in New Zealand where I currently reside in,I was employed as a general labour,duties include operating concrete mixing machine and preparing moulds for wet concrete pours. 2005-current working as a casual stevedore at the ports of AUKLAND in New Zealand,company name is AXIS INTERMODAL,while employed I was selected as part of seatrials crew for TENIX shipbuilding New Zealand LTD,I was employed as an OOW,duties were taking the ship out to open sea for trials do anchor watches at night,the trials was for ships build for the New Zealand navy,onboard were officials from Ministry of Defence,navy personnell,trials engineers,loyds officers and us commercial crew.All this trials were spread out through the year 2008 ten days on four inshore patrol vessels IPV Class.
