Engineering

- Electronics Technician, component level repair, focuses on television, stereo, and visual recording equipment.

- Understand technical aspects of hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.

- As ships engineer, trouble shot and repaired all systems including electrical, main diesel engines, generators, navigational electronics, plumbing, systems, electronic monitoring systems, pumps, motors, and weight handling equipment.

- Developed and implemented Preventive Maintenance Plans for marinas and large vessels.

- U.S. Coast Guard Boarding Officer

- In charge of Facilities Engineer at U.S. Coast Guard Station Dauphin Island, Al. Supervised repair of building systems and dock systems. Assured Preventive Maintenance Plans were implemented and maintained as per Civil Engineering Manual.

- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.



Operations

- Deputy Alabama Task Manager for the MC 252 Deep Water Horizon project. Coordinated, directed, and managed eight Vessels of Opportunity job sites. Ensured that objectives were accomplished in accordance with outlined ICS protocol.

- Analyzed results of operations to discover more efficient ways to utilize resources.

- Coordinated successful simultaneous development of several operations with site leads and upper management.

- Delegated responsibilities and designed time schedules for Mobile and Baldwin County Sites.

- Negotiated successfully with client representatives to ensure project success on the field level.

- Reviewed daily project status reports during each operational phase.

- Prepared daily project status reports for upper management.

- Captain, manage all aspects of vessel operations, engineering, finance, navigation, safety and personnel.

- Executive Supervisor for over 60 people at U.S. Coast Guard Stations. Managed all unit finances, training, public relations, search and rescue, communication, health and wellness, and law enforcement.

- Coast Guard Search and Rescue Coordinator for the North East Gulf Coast at CG Sector Mobile, AL. Developed search plans for both aircraft and surface search operations. Critical resource management. Served as Operations Manager for Op-Sail 2002 (Tall Ship event Mobile Bay) developing a strong working relationship with local governments, law enforcement and rescue organizations.Coordinated security patrol, station recovery and personnel safety issues in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.



Human Resources/Training

- Trained over 300 Boat Seaman, Coxswains, and Engineers for U.S. Coast Guard Qualification.

- Developed Code of Conduct and Operating Safety Procedures for Troutopia Yachting, LLC.

- Maintained personnel and unit records, as Executive Petty Officer U.S.C.G. Station Dauphin Island.

- Resolved a variety of unit conflicts utilizing strong communication skills.

- Responsible for Risk Assessment for vessels, land - based assets, and weapons safety as designated Safety Training Officer at three USCG units.

- Coordinated Reserve Leads to insure all military standards were current and maintained for deployment.

- As Executive Petty Officer responsible for personnel discipline, counseling, and incident documentation.

- Liaison for USCG Work-Life programs, Drug testing, Family Advocacy, and Financial Assistance, and Educational Aid.

Maritime Experience

- Dock Master of a 250 slip marina from 2006-2007. Managed final build of electrical, water, Wi-Fi, and cable television services. Developed the emergency action plan for the marina.

- Managed preventive maintenance program for numerous Coast Guard vessels, as well privately owned vessels.

- Successfully coordinated security zones and implemented vessel escorts under Homeland Security.

- Currently hold a 100 ton Masters License, w/Towing Endorsement.

- Experienced with numerous marine navigation systems.

- Simultaneous management as Captain/Engineer of 112’ Westport Motoryacht and 84’ Lazzarra Motor yacht.

- Excellent ship handler and Officer of the Deck aboard 110ft Coast Guard Cutter.
