All MSC endorsements including anti-terrorism, small-arms and CBRD. Current Advanced shipboard firefighting - First aid/CPR provider.

PADI Certified SCUBA Diver, USPA Licensed Skydiver, Ordained Minister.

Duties / skills:
• Safe Ship Handling – Close quarters, high traffic, adverse conditions – GOM experienced – single screw, twin screw and Z-drive experience.
• Safe Navigation – Voyage and passage planning, maintaining charts and publications, proper use of bridge equipment and professional watch standing practices.
• Security – Navy & MSC trained, current VSO certificate.
• Instructor / Trainer – Develop lesson plans and course structure. Trained over 600 people in BST, Crowd Management, and Crisis Management & Human Behavior.
• Cargo – oversee and perform the loading, handling, stowage and discharge of various types of both dry and liquid cargos.
• Administrative – Outstanding organizational skills and extreme attention to detail insuring compliance with all federal and international regulations as well as company procedures and policies.
• Maintenance – Schedule, direct and perform virtually all phases of shipboard maintenance.

• Install, maintain, repair, and re-build virtually all inboard, I/O, and outboard gas & diesel engines, generators, electrical systems, electronics and related accessories on virtually every type of small vessel.

• Own and operate all common and most industry specific hand tools, power and air tools and cutting & welding equipment.

• Worked the standard array of odd jobs while traveling around after exiting the navy.
Prior to 1983
• Served in the US NAVY from 1977 to 1983 as a Boatswains Mate / Salt Boat Coxswain.
• Grew up on the water in Huntington Harbor, CA racing small sailboats.
