Last Position: Safety & Operations Superintendent at PDV Marine Product tankers fleet and Report to the Fleet manager with responsibilities for:
? Safety on board tankers. Analyzing the safety operation of five (05) product tankers and asses master & crew for a good performance in HSE.
? Ship Vetting Inspection: Carries out ship inspection (OCIMF) to oil tankers to make sure that calling ships meet national & International regulations, and its crews are being certified and qualified for ship-shore oil transfer.
? Oil Pollution Prevention and Control. During oil spills emergencies control, confine and cleans affected areas and prepare and discusses claims with P and I clubs and Captains, crew, refinery or oil terminals representatives. Investigates marine accidents (e.g. oil spillage) and prepares accident reports for prevention purposes.
? Support Tanker Operations: Monitor day-to-day tanker performance and look for areas to improve transfer operation. Investigates ship – Shore quality or quantity difference, causes and prepare report.
? ISM & ISO implementation: Make sure the right implementation of ISM code and ISO 9001 on board and shore marine office.
? Supervise five (05) crews. Master Mariner, Mates, Engineers, AB seamen. Company: Terminales Maracaibo, C.A
