Objective
Ideally, I would like to find employment in South Florida in the marine industry. I have a very good background with managing people and budgets, along with extensive experience in all topside phases of working vessels.
Experience
1979 graduate of Mass Maritime Academy in Marine Transportation. I sailed in the US Merchant Marine for 31 years in every capacity from 3rd Mate up to Master (the last 15 years). I have extensive experience in dealing with shipboard crews, budgets, preventative maintenance shcedules, regulatory groups, etc..
I posess all required documentation to sail away tomorrow!

College degree from Mass Maritime in Marine Transportation (1979)
31 years at the school of hard knocks since!
Certification
Have all required certificates including:
GMDSS, Medical PIC, STCW, TWIC, Bridge Resource Management, Security and Antipiracy, Vessel Personnel Management, Teach the Teacher for Shiphandling, Advanced weather, Azipod training....etc...
Skils
Very adept at Computers (excel, Word, etc...)
Good people skills, Very strong practical nautical skills. Good budget and maintenance skills, strong skills in manageing - dealing with foreign and domestic regulatory bodies.
Have been teaching Shiphandling at the Naval War College Simulator since June 2010.
In good health. 53 years old. Divorced. Two kids that are now young adults and on their own.
