To obtain a position as a Tugboat Captain or Mate in the Port St. Lucie, Florida area or am willing to travel if position is on a scheduled boat (14/7, 20/10, 28/14, etc.)
Experience
2006-Present Captain, Construction & Marine Equipment, Elizabeth, NJ responsibilities include all aspects of making up & transporting tows, pumping barges, delegating work, general upkeep of vessel.
2002-2006 Captain, Sea Wolf Marine Towing, Bayonne, NJ responsibilities include same as above as well as transporting scrap work including deliveries & anchorage work.
2001-2002 Captain, Buchanan Marine, Norfolk, VA responsibilities include same as above
2000-2001 Captain, Backriver Towing, Norfolk VA
responsiblities include same as above
2000 Ferryboat Captain, Harborlink, Hampton VA responsibilites included transporting of passengers, general maintenance and repair.
prior to 2000 - Captain of several commercial fishing vessels
Education
1973 - Graduated York High School, Yorktown, VA
Certification
1987 - US Coast Guard License, Master of Steam or Motor Vessels of not more than 100 gross registered tons (domestic tonnage) upon near coastal waters
2002 - Master of Towing Vessels upon near coastal waters and Radar Observer (Unlimited) endorsement
Skils
capable of being responsible for all aspects of making up tow, transporting tows, pumping barges, delegating work, general upkeep of vessel, hiring and supervising crew, capable of navigating commercial fishing vessel. Navigated through Intercoastal Waterway and near coastal waters from Florida to Gloucester, MA.
I will be relocating to Port St Lucie, FL on or about 3/15 and am seeking a position in Florida or on a scheduled vessel.
