Skils


In overall in-charge of the craft and personnel onboard. As Master of the craft, certain decisions are at his discretion, depending upon the circumstances prevailing at the time.



Before assuming command of a vessel the incoming Master shall, wherever possible,consult with the outgoing Master regarding the ships characteristics, maneuvering qualities, condition, personnel and any other matters necessary for its safe and efficient operation. It is the duty of the Master being relieved to bring to the relieving Master’s attention any information which would assist him in the safe, efficient and economical operation of the vessel.


 


To take –in-charge of all such ship handling operation. Before leaving in port or any Mooring position, the Master is to test the steering gear control alignmentof the certain pointers should be check weekly and record in the Log Book.
