Work as a Mate on any ocean going vessel, interested in Tugs and Dredging also. Open to shoreside opportunities in the Long Beach, CA area.
Experience
Offshore Supply Vessels/Seismic, Mate, Safety Officer, Security Officer, Navigation Officer:
-Boat handling under rig while transferring cargo, pumping fuel and water.
- Supervise crew in deck maintenance and upkeep.
- Set up and run Safety, Firefighting, Security, and Medical Evacuation Drills
- Ran Bi-Weekly Training sessions on Anti-Terrorism, Fire Safety, Safety of Life at Sea, Medical Training, Collisions, Increased MARSEC Levels and Oil Spill Response teams.
- Oversee the communication and navigation between the Seismic Navigation department of our vessel and the Streamer vessels in our Seismic unit during complex choreographed close range turns.
- Cadet Sailing: 330 days on Commercial Container Vessels 2003-2004
