Have commanded a commercial dry cargo vessels of unlimited tonnages, trading worldwide in an unlimited capacity from 1975 to 1997.



Working part time as a Marine Cargo Surveyor.


 


Migrated in USA in 1998, from thereon unable to practice Deck Officer profession in the absence of an American license which can only obtain thru US citizenship. Continued seafaring time in an unlicense capacity as an Able Bodied Seaman. Obtained US citizenship in 2004 & thereafter enrolled with the training center offering "OINCW" preparatory for USCG exam for 3rd Mate. Finally acquired 3rd Mate license in 2005. Meantime, working on my tankerman PIC to qualify on a Tankship carrying dangerous liquid. Working part time as a Marine Cargo Surveyor (dry bulk) while on vacation from sea duty.
