2008 3rd/2nd Mate- Majestic America Line, Empress of the North Juneau,AK ·Gained self-pilotage of South East Alaska

·Began as the 3rd officer in charge of environmental and safety issues including rescue boat operator; was promoted to 2nd and was in charge of navigation.

·Helped implement a new company Safety Management System



2007 2nd Mate- Majestic America Line, Columbia Queen Portland, OR

·Helped train new crew in vessel safety and security awareness.

·Was the officer in charge of the vessel for a 12 hour watch with duties including river navigation, transiting locks, docking/departing, and managing the deck crew.



2005 Cadet Cruise, American Ro-Ro Company Park Ridge, NJ

·Collaborated and assisted in a ship’s officer’s capacity, including watch standing duties.

·Learned basic vessel/cargo operations gaining hands on experience as well as utilizing the communications and navigation equipment.
