Worked as a licensed third mate aboard Off-Shore supply vessels within the Rigdon Marine Fleet in various
locations throughout the Gulf of Mexico. In charge of standing my own navigational, cargo and dynamic
position watch while serving as the mate. Maintained the vessel Inspection Program including all of the
maintenance, logs and inspections for the vessel. Completed both the intro and simulator courses for Dynamic
Positioning with Beier Radio.
Lancer Insurance, Marine Officers Protective Syndicate, Intern, New York, NY, June - July 2006
Worked closely with several insurance professionals who insure marine licenses for deck and engineering licensed officers in several areas of the maritime field including tugboats and pilot organizations. Gained practical experience by being able to observe and participate in the evaluating of clients and the insuring of their licenses. I also evaluated Marine accidents in which our clients were involved in as well as assisted our clientele by sending out information.

Trained with Licensed officers and Unlicensed Deck crew to gain practical experience in the safe navigation of the vessel, cargo operations, ship operations including payroll and discharges, and deck maintenance and repairs. Performed safety drills which included firefighting, abandon ship and terror threat drills. Participated and presented drills with several pieces of safety equipment.
