- Trained in sensitive-ammunition cargo loading and unloading operations.
- Awarded an A- by the Master.
Summer 2001 Ferryboat Crewman
Cross Sound Ferry Services
- Performed duties of Ordinary (OS) and Able Bodied (AB) Seaman on passenger/vehicle ferries ranging in size from 128’ to 327’.
- Stood three to four watches per day as helmsman for cross sound voyages.
- Guided and facilitated daily mooring operations and loading operations for passengers and vehicles.
- Supervised proper safety practices for passengers and for ship operations.
- Conducted daily ship maintenance, including dry-dock operations.
