2006 Senior Engineering Cruise Vallejo, CA

T.S. GOLDEN BEAR – Team Leader/Watch Engineer

o Supervised and directed underclassmen on daily maintenance, including air compressors, diesel generators and centrifugal pumps.

o Performed Main Engine performance analysis and tuning using manual and electronic indicator cards and light spring diagrams.

o Supervised daily plant operations as well as casualty response.

o Directed team of underclassmen in system and machinery troubleshooting, including HVAC, diesel motors, and pressurized air systems.



2004 American President Lines Oakland, CA

M/V APL CHINA (64,502 Gross Ton Conbulk) – Engine Cadet

o Performed daywork commensurate with position of Junior Engineer.

o Directly responsible for daily soundings and tank level adjustment.

o Daily plant maintenance, including: cleaning filters, msd and incinerator operations, and port arrival and departure procedures.

o Directly responsible for machinery rounds and inspections.

o Fuel Injector testing, including ‘pop’ and ‘leak-down’ tests.

o Light equipment repair, including valves and Alfa-Laval purifier assembly.



2003 Freshman Engineering Cruise Vallejo, CA

T.S. GOLDEN BEAR – Wiper

o Duties included fireman, oiler, wiper

o General engine maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair.

Multiple Management positions in the restaurant industry:

• Managed restaurant in owner’s absence, conducted employee recruitment and training, interfaced with product vendors, organized promotional events, including budget, staffing, and product allocation, for shows such as the Good Guys West Coast National Car Show

Team Leader of shipping/receiving crew for warehouse home improvement store:

• Planned and developed product layouts, conducted team performance evaluations, and inventory planning.
