B.Tech marine from Directorate of Marine engineering college Calcutta (DMET). Batch 1984 - 1988
Certification
Class 1 (motor) certificate from Merchantile Marine Department calcutta (MMD).
Skils
? Main propulsion diesel engines from various makers such as MAN, B&W and Sulzer. Electrical / electronic automation on various machineries such as Diesel Engines , air compressors, Central air conditioning plants, Boilers, Electricity generating sets. Well familiarized with the Electro-pneumatic / Electro-hydraulic automations and controls of the various machineries. Worked on the senior management level on the electrical installations on vessels.
? Power generating diesel engine sets, Central air- conditioning plants, steam boilers and steam turbines, various types of centrifugal and reciprocating pumps.
? Purifiers and compressors, pneumatic / electrical instrumentation and automation.
? Computerised planned maintenance system of various machineries onboard.
Worked with ABS, DNV & Lloyd’s Register classification societies in the capacity of Chief Engineer to carry out various on-board machinery surveys. During my tenure as Chief Engineer on board , vessels have gone through vetting by various Oil –Majors such as Exxon-Mobil, Chevron-Texaco, Shell, Stat-oil, BP etc. Experienced many Dry Docking in the capacity of chief engineer for various vessels. Worked on the management level in Hyundai Shipyard in Ulsan, Korea on behalf of owners for the new building vessels.
