Manager Dry Docking and Maintenance

? As member of Company Management involved with Company Dry docking Management and Maintenance of LNG and Chemical vessels.

? Responsible for annual dry docking budgets of vessels, dry dock planning and execution.

? Responsible for Shipyards evaluation and contracts. Carry out and control Yards pre-qualification inspections and proposals for use.

? Control and preparation of dry dock specifications, standard dry docking specification, evaluation of Ship Yard cost, negotiation, dry docking software and documentation.

? Responsible for control and evaluation of post dry dock defects, analysis ,proposal for improvement.

Started as Technical Manager and promoted to Head Technical Services



Responsible for organizational activities and day to day operation of Technical Department. Shore based technical management ,organization and maintenance of various type vessels-FSU VLCC, Chemical tankers, Coastal Product tankers, Bunker barges; Leading group of 2 Technical Managers and 8 Technical superintendents.

? Carry out regular inspections on allocated vessels ,analyze technical and operational status and plan improvement

? Carry out pre purchase inspections as requested by Top management

? Responsible for hand over of sold vessels.

? Responsible for take over purchased vessel and assure of their readiness for immediate operation and trading status.

Technical Superintendent

? Regularly check the performance of the vessels during visits and report conclusions in writing.

? Draw up management information on technical performance, expenses and suggest improvements.

? Ensure effective cooperation with operations, ship’s management, subcontractors, classification societies, and other relevant parties.

? Check and pursue compliance with HSEQ policies.

? Strict follow up on PMS and Continuous survey maintenance items and schedule.

? Assist superintendent during DD repairs(more than 5 DD as Chief and First engineer)

? Inspects, cleans and performs mechanical and hydraulic repairs and maintenance in accordance with departmental preventative maintenance schedules.

? Ensures that back-up systems are in operational order; accompanies the vessel as required during refit schedules and assists technical personnel in carrying out repairs and alterations; and maintains an adequate level of supplies and routine parts.

? Complete a log abstract at the end of each shift for submission to Marine Headquarters.

? Planning for spare parts supply and preventive maintenance.

? Planning for Classification related maintenance and repair.

? Assure vessel operating cost is within budgeted and inform Superintendent if urgent spares or repairs are required

? As part of Vessel Management team actively discuss important matters and provide his support .

? Experience for maintenance and repair of all basic type engines- Man B&W, Zulcer, Wartsila, Yanmar, Daihatsu etc.

? As assigned by Kuwait Oil Tanker Company support office staff as PORT ENGINEER(twice).
