Assisted bay 05 engineering coordinators and crewing coordinator:
? Managing day to day fleet technical status and readiness.
? Supervising assigned personnel (e.g. hiring, evaluating, terminating, scheduling and coordinating activities, professional development/training, advising, etc.) for the purpose of maximizing the efficiency of the work force.
? Supervising department and personnel activities (e.g. program components, equipment/supplies budget, light duty assignments, critical timelines, contractors assignments, etc.) for the purpose of maximizing the efficiency of department activities,
? Supervising and managing the execution of preventive maintenance programs for vessels, power, desalinization and fish treatment plants using CMMS and ensuring a following up of the PMS, (e.g. systems for collection of work projects; prioritization, planning, and scheduling work projects; adjusting work schedules, etc.)
? Tracking periodic vetting visits and technical inspections on basis for the navigation safety regulations and Classification.
? Supervising the repair and overhaul of main engines and others machinery’s and equipments of Vessels
? Supervising the dry docking programs and assigned repairs and maintenance operations of Vessels includes surveys and repairs in dry dock by ship yard workers, contractors and vessels crew’s in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and / or eventual agreed modifications.
? Collecting requirements and work orders of the fleet.
? Dispatching work orders for workshops and external contractors.
? Collating with various stores and procurement department to maintain inventory level and updating stocks.
? Ensure the availability of spare parts and materials required for all maintenance projects and repairs scheduled.
? Managing the time lost and production downtime.
? Supervising security, hygiene and environment teams and operations and ensuring the security and safety of the fleet and crews and onboard auditing a Safety Management System and related fields.
? Responsible for managing, planning, organizing, and controlling all activities related to the recruitment and placement of the mechanicals crews.
? Manpower planning in liaison with Vessels Captains and General Manager for recruitment, composition and selection of crews.
? Liaise with General Manager, Regional Marine Authority, Marine Manning agents, candidates and Vessels Captains for final files of crews and obtaining Vessels rolls.
? Fleet tracking and traffic managing by the Vessel Tracking System (VTS).
? Providing required regular reports and dashboard monitoring work schedules and programs.
? Establishing and managing trainings plan.
? Organizing, evaluating and managing the day-to-day personnel functions in conformity with Company policies and procedures and ensuring company's guidelines, policies and procedures are disseminated and applied to the vessels.
? Direct onboard checking on a regular basis for implementation of procedures and policies.
? Liaise with internal departments about smooth logistic arrangements for incoming and outgoing vessels and seafarers.
? Active member of the Committee of the Development Studies and fleet renewal (GRP modern fleet).
? Assisting the General Manager in the planning and implementation of goals and functional objectives.
