Experience
I started working in a shipping line owned by Chilean Goverment here i ended my career as cargo claim adjuster.
Then moved to Nedlloyd lines as cargo claim representative for latin America and caribbean area, later on as P&O Nedlloyd line, i assumed as manager for the same area.
Manage the regional cargo claim process which includes:
1.Investigation, settlement and cargo claim rejection
2.Loss prevention matters and document issues (what we can and what we cannot do according to BL terms and conditions)
3.P&I, Lawyers and Surveyors management
4.Advice in connection with third party service providers (trucking co, terminals, others)
Level of personal autonomy: US$ 25.000 per case
in the last 7 year we (cargo claim team in LAM) save to the company us$ 10.000.000.- in negociation/Rejection and in recovering money from 3er parties
