Supervisor of Plan Management. January 2007-June 2007. Responsible for overseeing and directly managing the administration and successful execution of government regulation compliance plans for worldwide shipping companies. Specialized in:

• Leadership and supervision of project team – directly supervised a team of 10 individuals by overseeing client correspondence, proofreading project plans and serving as a key problem-solving resource for multiple departments when issues arise in the field;

• Taking independent responsibility for a large client volume and maintaining strong client relations – personally managed accounts for over 90 clients, supported active communication with shipping companies and government agencies to ensure emergency preparedness;

• Establishing procedures to improve day-to-day operations – worked side by side with senior management to design and implement new and creative ways to increase productivity and project quality;

• Supporting company growth and expansion – held an integral position in the hiring process by interviewing potential hires and training new employees.



Plan Manager. August 2005-January 2007. Ensured compliance for worldwide shipping companies by coordinating and facilitating the details relevant to project management. Specialized in:

• Maintenance and production of project plans for a diverse, international clientele – created and monitored regulatory certificates and documents for shipping companies to make certain they were operating within legal parameters;

• Risk and preemptive crisis management – served as a liaison between shipping companies and emergency response organizations to assess potential risks and implement immediate response measures in the case of a real-life emergency;

• Organization of client information and updating of strategic databases – consistently reviewed and revised client records to maintain their compliance within government regulations.

B.A. in Sociology: Criminal and Juvenile Justice Studies, May 2005. Designed, implemented, and analyzed a major research study on the social forces influencing musical preferences among college students. Additional coursework in statistics, web programming, and public communication.

My most recent role, as Supervisor of Plan Management at O’Brien Oil Pollution Service, Inc., required the use of strong communication and leadership skills in the development and maintenance of emergency response plan management within a detail-oriented and time-sensitive environment. By organizing regulatory projects, interfacing with clients and government agencies, and directing a team of colleagues to ensure efficiency, I played an integral role as a point of contact for both the consumer and the company.
