Experience
December 2002 to Present: Full-Time Law Enforcement (Commissioned 2004): Post-commissioning: Assigned to patrol/traffic related duties in multiple jurisdictions, including heavy metropolitan traffic, mountain pass, and rural areas.
• Fully Commissioned Washington State Peace Officer (WA. State Criminal Justice Training Cmn.)
• Conducted/assisted with investigations of various incidents and crimes: Collisions (up to and including fatalities), Driving Under the Influence (DUI), DRUGS/VUCSA, Hit & Run, etc. resulting in successful prosecution, as well as various routine traffic enforcement (speeding, etc).
• Acting Sergeant/supervisor on multiple occasions.
• Member, District Detachment of the Year (2005).
• Chief’s Coin Recipient.
• Advanced Collision Investigation, A.R.I.D.E. (Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement), Statewide Electronic Collision & Ticket Online Records (SECTOR) trained, ACCESS Certified, as well as additional on-going patrol related training topics.

October 1999 to December 2002: Marine Surveyor, McLarens Toplis/VeriClaim – Primary surveyor responsible for coverage of WA, OR, AK, ID, and MT for our Asian and European clients, reporting the nature, cause, and extent of damages/losses involving international cargo shipments. Routinely participate in loss mitigation, salvage, disposals, consultations, protecting opportunities for subrogation/recovery and other collateral tasks.
• Conducted in-depth surveys on major losses, including engine failures, sensitive electronic component damages, petroleum product contaminations, rust damage/depreciation, seafood/chocolate/pork/etc. adulterations, heavy weather damages, pilferage/theft of cargo, and witness location for both domestic and international clients.
• Achieved nearly double industry standards of production despite significant staff reductions/turn-overs, implementation of a new computer system, and other substantial challenges.
• Assumed responsibilities for oversight of daily operations of the Seattle branch office, including communications, operations/installations, invoicing, billing/accounting, staff oversight, monitoring/approving time submissions, etc.
