THE MAIN JOB ACTIVITIES AS A PROJECT MANAGER



? Material Control:

? Purchase specification and procurement order approval.

? Evaluating lists of materials such as steel, outfitting equipment, machinery equipment from maker etc.

? Incoming material inspection and verification of certification.

? Vendor Evaluation & Approval of Equipment

? Inspection of equipment before passing on to the Production.

? Design Review & Approval:

? Review Technical Specifications and basic key plans to ensure concurrence of design with Owner/Charterer Requirement.

? Drawing approval for compliance with Technical Specification and statutory Requirements

? Ensure that structure meets all applicable Regulatory Requirements satisfying Classification Standards and Strength Design criteria for hull.

? Review and analyze the structural stress & Strength requirement for the hull construction

? Responsible for the quality and execution of the work done by the shipyard taking into consideration the specifications, the final drawings, the meeting memos, and communications with the shipyard.

? Arranging complete documents/drawings from yard(as fitted drawings, Manuals etc)

? Representing tests, Inclining Experiments, Basin trials, & Sea Trials.

? Documentation and drawings/ production schedule control

? To find incorrect executions and deviations from design as described in the specifications, and the design correspondence.

? Review of basic key plans such as NDT, WPS, ITP etc. and coordination with Classification Society to implement such standards.

? Project Management, Supervision & Quality Control:

? Site Supervision in Charge

? Coordinating yard for various inspection and assigning team members as per requirement.

? Inspect and supervise all works of hull construction, outfitting, etc. right from beginning of fabrication until completion of the vessel

? Coordinate with other team members (Mech. Engineer, Electrical Engineer. & Diving Officers and Paint Inspector)

? Review and analyze the Coating system

? Progress review & maintaining a database on the weekly and monthly reporting including Supervision reports, Shipbuilding Schedule, Defects/ Non-conformance reports.

? Coordinate and supervise progress with Owner’s Builder’s and design activity.

? Liaison with Owners Classification Society, Design Team, & Builder’s production team on various aspects of the project

? Coordination with builder’s production managers for timely completion of schedules.

? Taking over jobs from colleagues in case of emergency.

? Co-coordinating the vacation of the site team members, taking into consideration the yard schedule, the workload of the site team and the leave arrangements.

? To safeguard and/or introduce proper norms / quality requirements according to the specifications, design correspondence and good professional skill.

? Execute the job while taking into consideration the safety rules of the shipyard.

? Keeping the morale of the team members high to ensure a proper and healthy working environment.

? Solve any disputes arising from design flaw, faulty inspection procedure, production barriers or untimely schedule challenges.



THE MAIN JOB ACTIVITIES AS A Dy.PROJECT MANAGER



? Assisting & Reporting to the Project Manager:

? For any such issues related to smooth functioning of Project Team.

? For any such issues related to reporting of the project progress on a daily, weekly and a monthly basis.

? Report the deviations and incorrect executions of job

? Relevant information about possible delays in the progress of the building process.

? Possible improvements in the design of the vessels.

? Co-coordinating with the Site Office Project Manager about the leave of the site team members, taking into consideration the yard schedule, the workload of the site team and the leave arrangements.

? Maintaining proper records and preparing weekly progress reports based on the above.

? Maintaining funds assigned for Site Team expenses.

? Assisting in maintaining monthly funds assigned for Project Management.

? Structural and O/F Supervision:

? Review shipbuilding specifications and basic key plans.

? Inspect and supervise all works of hull construction, outfitting, etc right from beginning of fabrication until completion of the vessel.

? Material flow control involving, procurement, inspection for certification, and approval for fabrication.

? Random patrols for keeping a check on Welder’s qualification, adherence to WPS, Safety procedures followed in the yard.

? Review and analyze the structural stress & Strength requirement for the hull construction.

? Recommend necessary changes/modifications as per structural load analysis.

? Taking over jobs from colleagues in case of emergency..

? To safeguard and/or introduce proper norms / quality requirements according to the specifications, design correspondence and good professional skill.

? To find incorrect executions and deviations from design as described in the specifications, and the design correspondence.

THE MAIN JOB ACTIVITIES AS A HULL SUPERVISOR ENGINEER



? Perform and review structural strength analysis of ship hull primary and secondary members and recommend changes/modifications for compensations within Classification and regulatory requirements.

? Inspect hull structure and outfitting onboard and ensure safe installation of equipments.

? On site plan approval and review of production drawings

? Review shipbuilding specifications and basic key plans.

? Supply periodic progress reports to the owners on the projects in hand.

? Final negotiations on the work done reports with the yard.

? To safeguard and/or introduce proper norms / quality requirements according to the specifications, design correspondence and good professional skill.

? To find incorrect executions and deviations from design as described in the specifications, and the design correspondence.

? Report the deviations and incorrect executions to the Site Office Manager.

? Report to Site Office Manager about possible improvements in the design of the vessels.

? Reports to Site Office Manager relevant information about possible delays in the progress of the building process.

? Execute the job while taking into consideration the safety rules of the shipyard.



THE MAIN JOB ACTIVITIES AS A TRAINEE ENGINEER



? Assigned with the Design Team dealing with the proposed design of 55m Offshore Diving Support Vessel with Saturation Diving System for below 50 m(He + O2) Heliox System ,ROV; Heavy Lifting Equipment and the Operation of Diving Bell

? Coordinating with members and divisions of the yard

? Training on different strength analysis softwares such as GHS, ANSYS Structure Mechanics Module, FEM analysis using NASTRAN.
