Looking to apply my engineering skills in design towards a offshore / oilfield related type position.


Experience


Nov. 2007 – Apr. 2009 – Amistco Separations Inc. Alvin, TX.

Solidworks / AutoCAD Engineer and Concept Designer.

Project Manager – Shell Deer Park Project.

Job duties included Creating complete 3d working models of structured filtration systems for the Oil field Industry using Solidworks including on site installations and surveying of vessels to supply current drawings for installation companies. As a part of the drafting team I did cross checking of other CAD operators work for errors and suggestions. 3D design for sales presentations including working hands on with customers designing original concepts.Technical writing of installation manuals and release notes.Once a full time employee I advance in the company as a Project Manager for a 1.5 Mill. Account also the largest job for Amistco to date. Successfully completed the project within timely manner of project deadlines.



Jan. 2007 – Oct. 2007 – Claffey Pools, Southlake TX

AutoCAD Operator and Designer.

Job duties included Converting sales sketches to working construction blueprints using CAD. Complete elevation drawings, Plate survey and conversions, Plumbing and electrical diagrams. Making sure designs complied with all city and county codes and specs. Redlining and cross checking of other CAD operators work for errors and suggestions. 3D design for sales presentations including working hands on with customers designing original concepts for Pools, Arbors, and Cabanas.



Apr. 2004 – Present - After-Hours Punching

Home based graphics business. - Owner

Job duties include custom design and new graphic concepts for customers. Offering consultant and technician work for customers in the related field. Converting customer supplied art work into a wire frame design through a digitizing process using specialized software for industrial machinery. Customer support and training for Sierra, Wilcom, And Pulse Signature CAD software. The more professional part of AHP includes sales, billing, collections, customer service and all aspects of owning a small business.



Aug. 2004 – Apr. 2006 – MESA Distributors Fort Worth, TX

SWF Embroidery Machine Technician, Software trainer.

Job duties included troubleshooting of industrial machinery. On site mechanical repairs of machinery including repairs to circuit boards, replacement of gears, shafts and other mechanical parts without the aid of machine assembly designs. Quality inspection confirming that all machine settings such as timing, pulse motors, sinking of main motor, and electronic settings were properly adjusted before delivery of equipment. Out of state delivery at times and set up of machinery including training to customers on proper use and maintenance of the equipment. Customer training on Sierra CAD software on an individual basis or in large groups up to 12 people or more. Troubleshooting Sierra software and debugging to be reported to main developers as well as customer phone support on machines and software for customer service.



Oct. 2000 – June. 2004 – Gulf Coast Creations – Owner Houston, TX

Retail Graphics / Embroidery Business. – Owner

Job duties included all Aspects of owning a business. This included human resources, sales, accounting, customer service, deliveries, Shipping and receiving and advertising. Started in house with a computer and software and grew to a full retail / wholesale business in 1 year with full retail shop location. In charge of two shifts day, and night with up to 3-6 employees. Trained all employees on proper operation of machinery, process orders from start to finish, as well as complete operation of shop in my absence.



Sept. 1997 – Jun. 2000 - Star Graphics – Houston, TX

Department Manager – Graphics Art Dept. and Digitizer.

Job duties included various aspects of being a department manager. Making sure that designs we completed properly and in a timely manner to meet production schedules for

Seventy - five heads of industrial machinery. Manager of three employees in the graphics department. Lead CAD / digitizer for the company. Keeping CAD systems up to date with current software and computer trouble shooting and repairs. Machine maintenance and repairs. Production scheduling for all jobs up to the hiring of a production manager.



Jan. 1997 – Aug. 1997 – Nassau Engineering –Clear Lake TX

AutoCAD Operator – Isometric Piping.

Job duties included conversion of outdated hand drawings to a CAD format and back up for storage with proper documentation and labeling. Checking on flow diagrams, proper valve usage, psi call outs, proper section call out and code requirements were met. Reporting all changes and discrepancies to contract supplier and follow up ensuring that all changes were made to bring design to code

Draftsman – Architectural

Job duties included working with lead draftsmen to complete full blueprints for residential projects. Making noted revisions to drawings, including foundation, elevation, electrical, structural sections and plat. Traveling to construction locations to take and verify elevation readings, land surveys discrepancies and verification with superintendent making sure production schedules were being met.
