Navigated vessel in the Suez Canal and the Straits of Gibraltar.



Transported highly specialized heavy lift and project cargo from United States East and Gulf Coasts to remote international locations. Routes included ports located in Egypt, Trinidad/Tobago and Tunisia. Negotiated with port supervisors, supervised international crews conducting cargo operations, dealt with language barriers, and adapted to different nations’ customs. Accommodated cargo owners onboard the vessel and guided the customers through the vessel’s operation and the cargo process.

Worked with different unions, resolved union related issues, adapted to foreign nations' customs, and supervised international crews. Encountered a series of supervisors with diverse management styles and a constant change of command.

My first hand experience extends to container vessels, RO/RO vessels, heavy life project vessels and tugs.

The club connects Academy students with maritime industry professionals and broadens students understanding of the most current trends in the field. Logistics Student Exchange Club – Organizer 2006-2008

Appointed to organize and plan the activities involved with exchange students from the Hoag School in Rotterdam and for a logistics study trip to Europe. The club guided the Hoag School Student on a logistics based trip through out New York City, including the financial district, FedEx Terminal at JFK International Air Port, and the Port of New York/New Jersey. Observed various countrys’ logistics operations, port operations, and maritime environments. The club helps students attain a global perspective of logistics and the maritime industry. Visited one of the only remote operated container terminals in the world as well as Lloyds of London and the Port of Dublin.



Women’s Varsity Swim Team Member 2005 -2006

By enduring demanding practices grew personally and achieved my goals. I simultaneously excelled academically and in the water by balancing my heavy course load, other extra circulars, and six day a week practice and competition schedule.



Emergency Medical Technician 2004-2008

Licensed New York state EMT, trained with local firefighters, hospital personnel, and the military medical community, took part in large scale disaster response training exercises organized by Nassau County, and directed the medical response team as crew chief in 2007 and 2008.
