- In charge of the coordination and management of the Hyundai and Samsung Heavy Industries Nigerian (Local) Contents deliverables for the BGT acquisition of six (6) 175,000m3 LNG carriers. Total costs of ship build 1.4 Billion Dollars.
- Coordinate the Nigerian Content project for the proposed establishment of the LNG Ship Repair Yard/Dry dock in Nigeria.

- Responsible to the BGT Board for the safe, efficient and reliable operational and technical performance of BGT ships.
- Monitors, manages and advise on implementation of provisions of Charter Party Agreement with Charterers of BGT Fleet of LNG Carriers.
- To establish and ensure maintenance of high operational standards and policies for BGT fleet’s efficiency, reliability, availability and safety.
- To monitor & ensure compliance to all international standards of all 13 BGT’ fleet Operational performance including Cargo Operations.
- Provide expertise advice related to shipping and transportation of LNG.
- Represents BGT at maritime forums where operational and technical matters being are discussed.

- Manages interface with the Nigeria Ports Authority, Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, Shell Petroleum Development Company and other stakeholders of the Bonny Channel and infrastructure development as well as managing marine activities at the Integrated Support Base in Port Harcourt
- Oversees NLNG Marine based Pollution control and HSE activity
- Oversees the recruitment, training and development of Nigeria Ports Authority Pilots seconded to NLNG, including co-coordinator for Bridge Simulator Training.

- Undertake pre-arrival checks for vessels calling at Bonny terminals – communicate documents, target plans, mooring plans, tug handling, and arrange pilots
- Conduct pre-operations toolbox meetings – advice pilots and tugs for safe operations. Execute/ supervise berth operations, ensure adequate controls for safe maneuvering, mooring, unmooring and safe access.
- Conduct safety and operational checks – ship / shore checklist, pre-load meeting and routine 4 hourly verification checks for vessels in port.
- Establish communications, agree on safe operational criteria's and contingency plans
- Verify, monitor vessel ballast, quantity, sample collection and sight comment on overboard discharge valves.
- Liaise with agents and local authorities to ensure timely and effective coordination of vessel clearance formalities and requirement notifications for vessel port calls.
- Attend vessel requirements in port – periodic tests, surveys, transfers, etc…
- Monitor terminal equipments – operation of capstans, Doppler's, weather parameters, ropes, gangway and recommend maintenance
