Objective


I am mature graduate of science currently working overseas in order to support the growing need for experienced operatives, in particular working in maritime anti piracy operations. My experience in the past is implicit and relevant to the task in hand and the following points should help to prove this. With a comprehensive experience in Maritime Security with several companies working on a wide range of vessels, of numerous nationalities, from numerous ports and births globally, in both the team and leadership roles.

My expertise is in the delivery of the safe passage of passengers and crew on board vessels using my maritime experience as well as my ability to work among people often in challenging circumstances.


Experience


CURRENT EMPLOYMENT.

Maritime Security Liaison Operative. 2011-date

Delivering the security of shipping against piracy and militant attack by physically hardening vessels, educating and drilling the crew; also as an armed deterrent. Fully conversant in Best Management Practices (4), SOLAS, the ISPS Code and the maritime agencies implementing them. Nominated Team Medic.



SECURITY EXPERIENCE.

HM Royal Marines. 1989-2005

Royal Marines Commando.

Heavy Weapons Specialist, Platoon Weapons Instructor, Service Rifle Coach/ Marksman, jungle and arctic warfare trained. CBRNT (formerly NBC). Operational service in the Middle East and Northern Ireland (decorated: GSM 2 bars, Iraq Medal with rosette, QJM). Corporal commanding a rifle section and specialist weapons team. Also in an Amphibious Assault Squadron and expeditionary force on HM Ships. Trained potential Commandos on a training team.



Greater Manchester Police.

Police Officer. 2007-2008

Operating in the delivery of law enforcement in a diverse and busy metropolis, gaining knowledge of policing and community awareness. Practical use of the Police and Criminal Evidence act, evidence and suspect handling, as well as communicating and understanding the needs of the public. Being able to act in a holistic manner using discretion was a key part of this role.



OTHER RELEVANT EXPERIENCE.

Emergency Medical Technician. 2002-2010

All aspects of pre hospital care and life support as a member of the London Ambulance Service and private services, in various locations dealing with all communities emergency medical and social needs. Trained in Rapid Response, attending emergency calls with the highest priority patients, specialising with Acute Cardiac problems, ECG interpretation and providing life support.



Fitness Instructor. 2008-2012

Fitness training and advice in outdoor locations to various levels of fitness, individuals and groups of all abilities. Experience in training fitness camps for individuals with personal confidence issues.



Mountain Leader (Summer). 2008-2012

Mountain leader and event sponsored marshal, involved in the safety and guidance of clients in hazardous mountain conditions.



Heli crew. Helicopter Ground Support. 2004-2009.

Operating under civil aviation regulations for the safe landing and taking off of civilian aircraft, passenger and pilot safety and the coordination of other ground staff.
