DRYDOCK No.1

Floating Dock

No. 1 Dock is 268 meters (880 feet) long with an internal breadth of 33.5 meters (115 feet) and a lifting capacity of 27,600 tonnes. The dock, which is capable of handling panamax vessels, is fitted with two 20 tonnes cranes and offers a full range of services.



DRYDOCK No.2

Floating Dock

No. 2 Dock is 300 meters (985 feet) long with an internal breadth of 58 meters (192 feet) and a lifting capacity of 87,500 tonnes. The dock, which is capable of handling vessels up to VLCC size, or cruise vessels up to 150,000 grt, is fitted with two 24 tonnes cranes and one 32 tonnes crane and a comprehensive range of services, including a high voltage power supply system.



DRYDOCK No.3

Floating Dock

No. 3 Dock is 310 meters (1017 feet) long with an internal breadth of 54 meters (177 feet) and a lifting capacity of 55,000 tones. The dock is fitted with two 40 tonnes cranes as well as a comprehensive range of back-up services.

WET BERTHS

Finger Pier

The finger pier at the yard is suitable for mooring vessels up to 300 meters (1000 ft) on both sides. The water depth alongside the pier is in excess of 15 meters (50 ft)



North Beach

The wet berth at the northern side of the shipyard is 340 meters long with heavy mooring facilities and a lifting frame with a lifting capacity of 250 tonnes. The water depth at this berth is in excess of 18 meters (60 ft)

Job responsibilities:

• Safely dock and undock ships in the floating dry-docks and wet berths.

• Ballasting and deballasting of floating dry-docks to dock and undock ships

• Operation and maintenance of all the floating dry-docks

• Coordinate with port pilots for vessels movements

• Pilot ships into the docks

• Conduct block inspection and cross check block settings

Sigma Paints Dubai- from January 2007 to September 2007

• Perform Technical inspections for maintenance and dry-docking

• Prepare specifications for maintenance, dry-docking and new building projects

• Conduct presentations for new product launch

• Liaison with ships owner’s and surveyor’s to prepare specifications to suite vessels requirements



Hempel Paints Qatar – from June 2004 to December 2006

• In charge for marine sales and technical department for Qatar region

• Perform technical inspections during dry-docking

• Conduct maintenance surveys onboard

• Prepare technical specifications

• Submit products for class approval as per latest IMO regulations

International Ship Repairs- Fujairah, United Arab Emirates –September 2001 to may 2004

Dock Master:

• In charge of dry-docking all ships subcontracted by the company to dock and undock vessels in the sincrolift at jadaf.

• Wet berthing of ships

• In charge Blasting and painting of vessels

• Project management at Dubai dry-docks for vessels subcontracted to the company

• Worked on conversion projects of ATLANTIS and MYSTRAS from VLCC to FPSO in Dubai dry-docks as a project manger for subcontracted jobs undertaken by company
