Objective
I have done a 4 years specialized course in Shipbuilding Engineering with domain in Naval Architecture, Ship Construction Technology, Ship Repair and Marine Engineering which has given me a strong marine background with theoretical and practical knowledge of the aspects concerned with ship construction / ship repair / ship conversion, etc.
Experience
?I have practical experience of working in ship construction yards in the hull section (Q.C) which has given me good
Experience in new ship construction activities.
?I have practical experience of working in Western India Shipyard Limited which is a full fledged Ship repair /ship
Construction yard having a Floating Dry Dock of 210 Mts length.
?I have a good experience in all steel fabrication jobs required for ship repair, welding, docking / undocking of ships,
Block setting of ships prior to docking, preparing block setting details using docking plan, operation of the Floating dry dock, blasting & painting of ships, etc.
?I also have experience of working as an owners representative for a conversion project giving me experience in all the
Quality, records and reporting jobs.
In the tenure of my all the above jobs I have practically come across and worked on ship / marine drawings like the shell expansion plan, general arrangement, capacity plan, mid-ship section, bulkhead details, hull offset table, docking plans etc which is required for Ship Construction / Ship repair / Ship Design. It has also made me familiar with the requirements of the major Classification Societies for executing Shipbuilding, Ship Repair, conversion projects and Ship Surveys, etc.

? Worked as an Owners Representative (TMT) in (NASCO) Nanyang Star Shipbuilding co, Zhoushan in China undergoing conversion of a single hull oil- tanker to double hull product carrier for Taiwan Maritime Transportation since April 2008 to till January 2009.
? Worked as Superintendent for W-O Shipping through VDTC, Mumbai, New-Building Oil tanker in Hangzhou Dongfeng Shipyard, China. From 1/June/2009 to 24/Dec/2009 till completion of Project.
? Presently working as Superintendent for VDTC, Mumbai, and completed new building project of 3750 Dwt Oil tankers (2 sister vessels) till delivery in china HDS shipyard, China in 2009. New building of Multi-purpose vessels 5500 Dwt for WESSELS in Bangladesh, in Ananda Shipyard & slipways ltd which is in progress, presently working on conversion project from Oil tanker to FSO for MERCATOR Lines Ltd. in Yiulian shipyard, China started- May 17-2010 till Date.
? Reading the production drawings and inspecting accordingly as per the working specification.
? Plate and material inspection for fabrication of new structures such as Heledeck, New boiler shelter, Metering skid foundation, QRH foundation, New Boiler foundation Offloading platform, Bow loading platform, Tensioning winch foundation, Mooring sheaves along with material certificates.
? Witnessing Testing of material specimen for class approval in testing lab.
? Inspection of Hull structure in cargo tanks by rafting at anchorage and other structures during close-up survey for renewal with the thickness gauging along with class.
? Steel weight calculation for renewed structures.
? Conducting meeting with the shipyard & Surveyors for scheduling the work progress.
? Maintaining the records of Owners Remarks list, inspecting & updating inspection records accordingly.
? Maintaining the record of daily inspection reports, Piping traceability, drawings and documentation.
? Visual Inspection of piping for fit-up inspection, Welding inspection, Hydrostatic pressure testing for piping spools, blasting, painting inspection, and Galvanizing inspection.
? NDT inspection and interpretation done for U.T & R.T for the piping weld joints and plate Butt joints.
? Carry out of Fit-up inspection, welding inspection, blasting inspection, painting and epoxy filling inspection for pitted areas, pressure testing for piping and tanks, vacuum testing for renewed and temporary access openings.
? Carry out Inclining Experiment along with class as per the given approved procedure.
