Objective

Experience


• Presently working as a Ship Operator (since Sept’08) at a leading Post fixture company based in Dubai handling a total of 21 Chemical and Gas carriers.

• Person in Charge for handling 3 Chemical Carriers independently from the fleet with reference to post fixture, bunker intakes, assisting in tank cleaning, agency appointments etc.

• Preparing Vessel Position updates for forwarding to Charterers at a daily basis.

• Assisting in compiling and making Half Yearly and Annual Reports.

• Preparing Lay time and Off-hire Statements on completion of each voyage.

• Liaising with Charterers and Owners with regards to Vetting inspections required as per the requirements of various ports being called.

• Looking after agency appointments, arranging advance payments from charterers and final settlements thereafter on completion of each voyage.

• Responsible for ensuring that vessels voyage is performed as per charter party and ensure quick turn around.

• To follow up the vessel's operations / schedules and the implementation of company procedures in coordination with ship's agents, stowage planners, ship's command and other Line's Departments.

• Familiarity with voyage instructions, P&L, Hull Insurance, charter parties

• Co-ordinating the day to day operational activities of time charter ships ensuring compliance with the agreed charter party terms.

• Preparing and issuing orders including loading and discharge instructions.

• Liaising on a day to day basis with marine / technical superintendents, oil operators, ship brokers, ship owners and port agents to ensure efficient commercial operations.

• Co-ordinate shipping requirements under Contracts of Affreightment including identifying and analyzing commercial opportunities as well as meeting all operational requirements and short notice changes.

• Ensuring that charterers, oil operators and traders are kept fully informed of latest ship schedules and programmes.

• Providing least cost solutions for a wide variety of Group freight movements through using the existing pool of vessels augmented by recourse to the spot market for additional tonnage.

• Ability to anticipate and coordinate future requirements and make recommendations for the adjustment to the controlled pool of vessels to fit forward trading patterns.

• Become an integral member of the chartering and scheduling activity working alongside Charterers, Oil Operators Traders and Marine Assurance Superintendents.
