Objective
• Oil & Gas Cross Country Pipeline projects in Onshore, Offshore, structural fabrication.
• Piping of Refineries, Gas Compressor Plants, and Oil and Gas process plants & Bulk plants
• Power plant and fertilizers projects, ship building and ship repairs, fabrication of Pressure vessels, Boilers and Heat exchangers, columns, Reactors and Tanks, offshore platforms, jacket and decks, well head piping, remote headers. FPSO (Floating production storage and off loading) projects.
Experience
• Checking that the welding procedures to be used are approved and duly qualified as required.
• Monitoring the capability of each welder on the basis of Radiographic Reports. Checking the correct measurement of hardness when required and the acceptability of the results.
• Checking all welding activities is in compliance with the applicable code, standards and specification.
• Monitoring & witnesses of WPS/PQR & WQT’s/MPI/PT/HT
• Monthly Auditing with Clients Representative.
• Co-ordination with Third party as well as client related to welding and NDE activities.
• Co-coordinating the activity of welding inspector assistance (WIA).
• Review of mill certificates, consumable test certificates and calibration certificates of equipments.
• Checking that only approved electrode, wires and gas are used.
• Randomly checking welding parameters according to approved WPS (Ampere, Voltage, Travel Speed and Gas flow rate) Checking the adequacy of equipment for preheating, welding, heat treatments and weld examinations.
• Ensuring that weld inspection, examination and test are carried out and documented in accordance with the Quality Control Plan for site activities, verifying the inspection records and validating the relevant results.
• Filing and retaining NDT reports and inspection reports.
• Final Inspection Review of Test-Packages.
• Initiate DR or NCR and following for correction as required.
• Monitoring of the welding activities, checking in particular the adequacy of joint preparation protection and provision in case of rain, wind, low temperature etc.
• Checking the adequacy of the heat treatment technique and the recorded diagram.
• Checking the repairs is correctly made.
• Checking the heat treatment diagrams.
• Checking the issuance of the document required by contract specification
• Provides Daily Activity Reports of Contractors day-to-day activities / operations. „Assists in Project inspections, acceptance and turn-over reviews.
Participate in off-site factory and shop testing.
Provides input to Project Critical Items List.
Monitors actual work performance compared to the project budget and schedule.
Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, ITP and Method Statements and ensure all tests are carried out as per Contract requirements.
Ensure the most current design documentation is being utilized to complete activities.
Verifies progress reported by the Contractor and will assist in the resolution of problems with Contractors progress.
Participate in meetings with Contractors.
Report on a weekly basis items requiring resolution by Construction.
Review and make recommendations regarding Contractor invoices for payment.
Perform in-process and acceptance inspections of Contractors work on a monitoring basis and will assist in resolving any noted problems with the contractors work.
Implement the BCOI Standard Work Processes and Procedures (SWPPs)
Monitors the delivery of the Contractor¡¦s method statements, permanent and temporary works design to a programme of deliverables and tracks progress to assure that these items support the requirements of the Contractors Schedule and the delivery requirements of the Contract
Performs construction Quality control activities in a technical or administrative capacity. Responsible for the performance of on-site tasks related to quality control compliance. Ensures inspection duties are in accord with quality program. Responsible for documentation of inspection activities and maintenance of quality control records. Generally assigned to a single discipline activity interfacing with a multi-discipline operation. May have leadership responsibility providing technical direction to less experienced construction quality control engineers. Responsible for the maintenances of technical and other pertinent documents as directed. Implements quality control procedures and establishes detailed schedules for on site inspection activities. Within assigned area monitors the operations for adherence to project pans and specifications to ensure quality control compliance. Monitors subcontractors and supplier’s workmanship, installation of material and equipment for quality control compliance. Performs inspection functions in accordante with inspection plan and monitors inspection duties assigned to subcontractors and reviews results of inspection. Inspects and documents acceptances on construction activities and installations.
