Objective
I am having experience in co-ordinating both design as well as production in shipbuilding .
My basic is design in which i have done all the calculations related to ships.
I have worked in shop floor right from keel to entire ring structure assembly, as well as i am exposed to production (hull) part of offshore drilling rigs.

Calculation of free stream characteristics of rudder, Rudder design
Preparing as –fitted drawings for class approval.
Undertaking Inclining experiment, Speed / Equipment Trials etc. •
Longitudinal Strength calculation.
Design of mid-ship section .
As a Production engineer(hull)
? To oversee the production process and ensure that the whole process is done as per the required Standard .
? Preparing micro –plan of each individual activity(Pre-fabrication to assembly) for the completion of job within the set time frame.
? Solving the Technical problems on site.
? Correcting the mistakes in scantlings of Production drawings if any according to class drawings.
? Close monitoring of alignment of strucutral members during fit-up stage inspection of “CLOSE MONITORING” prior to welding according to the “SAFE HULL CONSTRUCTION MONITORING PLAN” provided by the concerned Classification Society ensuring the alignment is within the acceptable limit and getting it approved by Quality control ,Surveyors & Owners.
? Material traceability of structural members (Primary& secondary) and ensure materials of required grade& thickness is being used as provided in production drawings simultaneously considering stress concentrated areas.
? Repairing imperfections & welding defects if any , according to Ship Repair Quality Standard or hull standard provided by IACS and the shipyard .
? Repairing Structural defects if any according to Ship Repair Quality Standard or hull standard provided by IACS and the shipyard.
? Checking the water level of the unit during after fit-up stage and at erection berth during assembly stage and ensure the levels of both (Port and starboard)& ( forward and aft) are matching with each other.
? Preparing for NDT or UT of joint inspection by Quality control ,Surveyors & Owners as mentioned in the NDT plan for the concerned Vessel, .
? Defects if any , then same to be rectified following Ship Repair Quality Standard or hull standard provided by IACS and the shipyard .
? Internal and External inspection of Tank after completion of hull structural works for tanks thereby ensuring for the preparation for Hydrostatic and air- leak test of weld joint of water tight boundaries as per concerned Classification Societies.
? Getting the job dry Surveyed by Quality Control, Surveyor & Owner.
? Close monitoring of work progress v/s planning
Miscellaneous
? Qualifying the welders for different positions of welding ensuring test done by the welder is according to the WPS(Welding Procedure Specification)of that particular Position of weld and getting approved by Quality Control, Surveyor & Owner.
? Job evaluation and bill clearance of subcontractors.
? Liasioning with subcontractors and client to ensure that the work is done as per customer specification and within the set timeframe.
