Experienced in body repairs and body building of freight beds;

Reconstruction, Manufacturing, Painting, Fitting & Installation

Experienced in manufacturing and installing dedicated freigt beds:

Rear tipping, side tipping, low

Trailers and specialised beds

Experienced in general turning and machining:

Component manufacturing, re sizing & fitting, cutting

Experienced in general engineering manufacturing of components:

Welding Arc, Welding Mic

Welding Gas, brazing

Experienced in building maintenance and electrical installations of plant and machines: 230 Volt and 400 Volt.

This position was at artisan level in charge of 2 apprentices and part of a maintenance team that maintained a fleet of 64 trucks and 130 heavy load trailers.

• 1991- 2008 Mechanical Foreman. VDM Transport Saldanha Bay South Africa.

This position of Mechanical Foreman is held from 1998. Responsible for the maintenance of :

The position of Mechanical Foreman is responsible for the planning, scheduling, allocation of resources and controlling of all mechanical maintenance and repair work to ensure maximum serviceability and minimum breakdowns. This includes preventative maintenance scheduling and trend analysis to diagnose pending or developing failings and the rectification of possible risks.
