As a TWISS Guard in Tikrit, I was in charge of insuring internal security was kept at all times, duties included a 12 hour post at check point RPAT guarding an external armory, as well as vehicle yard. Duties would include roving post every 2 hours or as deemed needed to insure perimeter gates have not been tampered with and/or breached in anyway; I would also conduct ID checks on vehicles and personnel to an updated roster of names to insure proper standard operating procedures were followed at all times, and to ensure only authorized personnel entered the armory to retrieve weapons systems. This post would be stood with all proper gear to include M4 Rifle, Glock 19 pistol, and proper body armor as well as two-way radio. Position required constant communication with the military and other private companies.
As a Force Protection Officer in Basra, Iraq I was assigned to the Badge Office. My duties were to identify who was authorized entry on the COB using biometric identification devices and checking passports/ID’s. I supervised armed guards who’s duties were to search vehicles and use metal detector devices on all personnel entering the COB. I monitored a CCTV system to ensure the safety of the COB by monitoring vehicles entering the ECP. I tracked local national and TCN movement to maintain knowledge of all movement on and off the COB. I worked directly with the ARMY OIC (Officer in command) of my post advising him of movements and needed memorandums for other private companies. My duty was to ensure the customer (Army) was happy at all times and was informed of all necessary information.

As the manager my duties required me to utilize team leading skills. I created a successful system to track payroll on all employees. I revised all employee’s paperwork to verify they had completed there forms correctly. I counseled all employee’s monthly on there positive as well as negative work patterns. In my office I monitored and controlled a CCTV monitoring system to ensure the safety of all property and personnel on the premises. I handled all customer complaints/concerns to ensure the customer maintained a positive experience with our company. I completed daily, weekly, as well as monthly reports tracking our finances, employees, and property.

Performs as a team member in support of battlefield operations, installation law and order operations and security of Army resources and installations. Leads military police teams in support of battlefield operations and leads and supervises small sections in support of security and installation law and order operations. Leads military police squads and sections, operates police desks, plans crime prevention measures, operates evidence rooms and prepares operations plans and orders in military police detachments in support of both battlefield and installation law and order operations and security of resources and installations.
SGT Team Leader responsibilities:
The MP team leader is responsible to the squad leader for individual and team training and team discipline. He is responsible for the tactical employment and control of the team and the maintenance and operation of all vehicles and equipment organic to the team. During combat operations or anytime there is a threat, the team leader quickly assesses the situation, reports to his superiors, and takes appropriate action to protect the team according to the rules of engagement (ROE). A squad leader has the same responsibility for the squad as the team leader has for the team.
