OCONUS Maritime Security and/or being an explosive/narcotics K9 Handler


Experience


Supervisor/K9 Handler, 3rd Ranger Battalion FT. Benning GA 2012-2014

- Coordinated training, handling, and care of 14 Military Working Dogs and 13 employees (K9 Handlers) along with accountability of K9 equipment (Cameras, kennels, Medical prescriptions, etc...exceeding $500,000), Health, and Training records of the Dogs.

-Evaluated and advised eight “Green” handlers on the up keep and proper training of the programs K9‘s. During this management period conducted by-monthly evaluation reports on all 13 of my employees; sitting them down and telling them how they did, how their actions contributed or negatively hurt the organization, with a plan of action on what that personnel should do in the upcoming months to make that handler’s dog team the most effective reliable tool an organization could have.

-Administered a new and more practical method of logging training records for my employees and their Military Working Dogs that includes Detection (Hide Placement - Odors used, Indoor/Outdoor, night/day, loud/quite) and Apprehensions (Open Field, Suburb, Vehicle, Night/Day, Civil Finds, Bite Suites/hidden Sleeves).

K9 Handler, 3rd Ranger Battalion FT. Benning GA 2011-2012

-Handled/Trained two separate Military Working Dogs while keeping proficient training records and medical records on both over the course of two years and multiple deployments.

-Assigned to different organizations while being extremely flexible with the ability to move on demand (CONUS and OCONUS) in support of whatever organization needed my Dog Team’s Services, all while being unsupervised sending up truthful efficiency reports about the job I was completing to my superiors.

Middle Management/Supervisor (SQD LDR TM LDR) 2008-2011

- Lead the Training and Development of dozens of employees in their work tasks to be successful in their field while boosting work output for more company success.

- Implemented standards, ideologies, and first hand experience in training for the direct success of multiple hostile OCONUS security details, missions, and raids.

- Accountable for multiple personnel and their work “output” along with the equipment they used (Weaponry, Vehicles, Armor, Clothing, Food). All records of employees were kept to relate back to in fallowing months to be able to back up productivity and help with screening for future employees.
