Skils

I have done MBA with specialization in the Port and Shipping Industry from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, India (www.upesindia.org). I pursued a higher degree to complement my experience as an officer at sea and to further enhance my skills and capabilities in the Maritime Industry. I am also in the process of completing my PQE (2009) conducted by the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London.

I am computer literate and adopt a proactive plus ordered approach towards work. Performing a range of diverse jobs on and off the ship has enabled me to develop upon my inherently strong leadership and organizational skills. Following a bridge collapse, I provided vital service towards the identification and design for the construction of jetties and acquisition of lifeboats for the District Administration. I contributed beyond their expectations and proved that I combine the aptitude of a manager with the knowledge and skill of a mariner. I have given presentations on a range of topics and have also submitted papers on issues critical to the Shipping Industry today.
