First Officer/Second Officer, Articulated Tug and Barge

Assisted the master in the safe operation of an articulated tug and barge for over 116 days along the Lower Mississippi, throughout the Gulf of Mexico, The Port of Tampa, and The Caribbean.

Supervised the loading, discharging, ballasting and transfer of cargo, personnel, and stores.

Conducted drills, exercises, and meetings to train personnel in all aspects of vessel operations.

First Officer/Second Officer, Tugs

Assisted the master in the operation of the tug and a container barge; directly supervising the 6 man crew and the contract stevedores.

Safely navigated and operated the vessels for over 199 days along the coast of Florida and throughout The Caribbean in accordance with the masters’ standing orders and company policies.

Conducted drills, exercises, and meetings to train personnel in all aspects of vessel operations.

Performed administrative duties as required by the master and the vessel charterer.

Assisted the master in the operation of tugs and barges each carrying 175,000 barrels of dangerous liquids and with the direct supervision of the 5 man crew

Safely navigated and operated the vessels for over 144 days in along the Pacific Coast from Alaska to Mexico, including the Inside Passage from WA to Canada and Alaska.
