Second Mate, AGT; Master 1600 T; most QMED ratings

Objective


Sail any type of vessel anywhere, so long as in enables me to continue to upgrade my licences. Particularly interested in earning an auxilliary sail endorsement, and a Third Ast. Engineer License.


Experience


Have worked for several shipping companies and tall ships from 1996 to present. Most time has been spent in deck department as Third Mate. 2004-2005 employed to deliver 2 High Speed Craft for Alaska Ferries. More recently earned Second Mate Oceans any gross tons, and Master Oceans NMT 1600 tons (3000 tons ITC). 2007 employed as a Deck Training Oficer and mate aboard the State of Maine for Maine Maritime Academy.


Education


Graduated United States Merchant Marine Academy in 1995 with Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation, with Minor in Marine Engineering. Pursuing further education, when not sailing, in history and marine studies.

USCG Lic: 2nd Mate AGT Ocean; Master NMT 1600 GRT Ocean

QMED: Jr. Engineer, Deck Engineer, Electrician, Pumpman, Oiler.

Full STCW compliance

Tankerman Assistant

GMDSS radio Operator

General Radiotelephone operator

Refrigerant Recovery Technician, Universal

ARPA

Many other cerificates from many maritime and military related courses. Full resume will be sent to any requesting company.

Skils


Fundmental knowledge of several foreign languages including:

Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and Irish.

Suitably computer literate for practical purposes.
