I am seeking employment as a second mate in any location around the world.
Experience
I have worked 11 years in the Royal Australian Navy as a Navigating Officer, employed within a Force Protection role (anti piracy), served in Iraq with the Royal Australian Navy, of which my last position was third in command of a Royal Australian Naval Frigate. I am now seeking employment within the civilian sector I am currently conducting courses to gain a STCW 95 endorsement to have my Navy qualification brought into line with civilian standard. And maintain the highest work ethic as would be expected after 11 years of service in the Military.
Education
I have a Batchelors Degree in Management and Politics. Gained the highest levels of Navigation Qualifications in the Navy, and am now currently conducting a Second Mates STCW 95 course (unfortunatley due to legislation I can not conduct the Chief Mates course straight away)
Certification
Watchkeeper (deck) STCW 95 CoC (2nd Mate) due to complete early 09.
Skils
I believe I will bring a high level of communication and leadership skills to the workplace combined with a high level of discipline and personal values. I have been employed as a Naval Shipping Pilot and a Instructor of Navigation and Seamanship.
I am seeking employment in early 09 as a second mate in any part of the world (am not restricted with location), I have already conducted all sea going medicals and hold an Australian Passport.
