o As Sales Manager for Charles A. Perry and Company, we increased sales from $74 million to over $101 million in less than five years.
o Directed 8 salesmen covering 14 states representing approximately 30 factories selling Marine products to boat builders, distributors and retailers.
o Consulted with factories to create and implement the introduction of new products to the OEM and Aftermarket levels.
o Coordinated trade shows at the OEM and Aftermarket levels.
o Recruited factories looking for new representation by selling our company’s strengths with verbal and Power Point presentations.
o Implemented annual reviews that included sales plans for each territory including the setting of goals, strategies, and progress monitoring tools.

o As Sales Manager for Fluid Technologies, developed sales, marketing and distribution strategies for the introduction of Aqualuma Underwater Lights in North America taking sales to over $1 million in two years.
o Designed marketing strategies including show participation and magazine advertising.
o Created pricing strategies as well as marketing materials for distribution, retailers and OEM’s.
o Hired and managed independent manufacturer’s representatives to cover the U.S.
ELLETT BROTHERS, INC., Chapin, SC 1993-2003
General Manager, Marine/Director of Sales, Hunting and Shooting
o As Director of Sales and then General Manager of Ellett Brothers, Inc.’s Marine division, built the division from $11 million to over $26 million in sales from 1993 to 2001.
o Beginning in 1999, increased gross margin percent by more than 150 basis points per year, reduced inventory, and increased turns to more than 5 while improving division fill rate by more than 300 basis points.
o Profit and loss responsibility for the Marine division including direct supervision and development of sales/marketing and purchasing staff of 30.
o Served on the National Marine Distributors Association’s Board of Directors for 4 years, Secretary Treasurer for 2 years and served as the 2nd Vice President.
o On March 1st, 2002, was asked to also assume the Director of Sales position for Ellett Brothers’ Hunting and Shooting division to help bring the division back to profitability.
o Sales responsibility for $110 million Hunting and Shooting division including supervision and development of staff of 68 from 2002 to 2003.

o Promoted 4 times while helping the company grow from approximately $9 million in sales to over $60 million in 8 years.
o Established a purchasing department overseeing the negotiating and purchasing of raw materials; assisted in the set up and supervised a raw materials warehouse and staff; implemented an MRP system.
