Objective
To obtain a leading Safety Supervisor/ Coordinator position in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) by (a) applying my knowledge & experiences to train the workforces on safe work practice in the worksites and (b) promoting zero accident culture in the workplaces.
Experience
(a) To conduct Toolbox Talks, i.e. training and instruction to the workforce and keeping notes on toolbox sheets.
(b) To follow through ‘Safe System of Work’, the responsibility for controlling all work permits issued during SIMOPS (simultaneous operations) and to coordinate the different actors and sub contractors involved in the project.
(c) To issue and close out Hot and Cold permits to work.
(d) To train and instruct for issuing permits to work, pre-job meetings to coordinated works to avoid interferences or incompatibilities between the different teams working on site.
(e) To monitor and audit to ensure the system works as intended and evaluation of safe work is being carried out.
(f) To give advice on safe work practices, and to promote good safety culture.
(g) To conduct regular site inspections to ensure that there are no unsafe acts or conditions posing hazards. To inspect workers’ PPE and worksite housekeeping.
(h) To ensure workers comply with company’s permit-to-work system.
(i) To follow up on the instructions of VSCC as to maintain safe work on the board vessel.
(j) To keep record of safety matters and prepare Monthly Safety report
