Engineer/RCO/Conductor. Certified in the safe operation of locomotives. Unmanned locomotives. Supervised the safe movement and administration of train operations.

Monitored condition of brake rigging and air lines.

Interpreted signals (hand,lantern,non-signaled territory) and convey to engineer via handheld radio. Reduce stretch braking, eliminate power braking, shutdown/isolate unneeded locomotives. Well versed in train orders, bulletins, clearances, special instructions, NORAC regulations. Switched several customers (RCO) according to waybills.

Drilled high precision quality holes in base plates that range in size from 6"x6" up to 40"x40" for primary customer, American Light Standard.

Picked up and set out customer cars.

Provided switching services for local port and paper mill plant according to conductor switch list; lined and verified switch points. 

Prepared cars for transport: coupled up cars, applied hand brakes, etc. 

 

ITS Calebrett, Nederland, Texas: April 2004 to June 2005

Petroleum/Petrochemical Inspector.

Inspected and sampled ships, barges, shoretanks containing petroleum/petrochemical products to determine quantity, quality, and temperature. 

Worked offshore via helicopter to inspect vessel-to-vessel transfer (lighterings) of crude oil.
