Experience
I have three years experience in the hospitality industry. All of which were obtained working for The Hotel Group at one of their sites in Corvallis Oregon. The Hilton Garden Inn is the largest hotel in the Willamette Valley. It was built on land owned by Oregon State University to accommodate its many visitors.
I worked in the Housekeeping department as a Room Attendant and a part-time room inspector. Being the eyes and ears of the Hotel it is important to be reliable, trust worthy and hospitable. Acknowledging each guest as well as anticipating and delivering to their needs is a must. All guest suites are expected to be done in thirty minutes or less. It is crucial to have to have good time management skills, attention to detail and appearance. There are many tasks required daily when cleaning guest rooms in order to be up to Hilton Garden standards. They include:
• Stripping rooms- taking all dirty linens, dishes and garbage out of the rooms.
• Bedrooms- making beds putting on clean linens, pillow cases, and duvet covers. Polishing all furniture surfaces as well as mirrors doors and wall portraits. Replacing bedroom amenities such as coffee, sugar, cream, tea, stir sticks, napkins, glasses, coffee mugs, ice bucket bags, note pads, pens, HBO guides, laundry bags, and information books. Then vacuum the carpet.
• Bathrooms- scrubbing the sink, toilet bowl, and tub with comet. Cleaning the shower walls with a steal wool pad then rinsing all residue of the surface with hot water. Replacing bathroom amenities such as clean towels, toilet paper, tissue paper, shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, lotion, soap, shower caps, vanity kits, and glasses. Then mopping the tile floor.

I have data entry and invoicing skills. I also have experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Ulead Photo Impact
In addition to working as a Room Attendant for THGI I also sit on the Greatness Committee. I act as a liaison for the housekeeping department. The sole porpoise of the Greatness Committee is to recognize and award employees that exceed the minimum requirements of their position.
