Supervise sub-contractors who are carrying out tasks for Neptune Marine and carry out risk assessments for any hazardous tasks and heavy lifts. Attend construction planning meetings and carry out forward planning of tasks to be completed and assure DNV standards are achieved. Raise work orders for various tasks and equipment. Carry out quality control assessments on contractors completed tasks.

Currently working in PPL shipyard in Singapore on a new build Jack-up as Chief Mechanic, supervising all the installation of all equipment and pre-commissioning checks. Supervise all commissioning of all equipment.
Duties with Premium included the list below:

Carry out rig inspections, rig audits and condition surveys on all Mechanical/Hydraulic/Electrical equipment and determine the effectiveness of their PM system and report findings with recommendations of improvements to head office. Compile a list of critical improvements with different levels of criticality raised and advise corrective action.
Check PM status of all Offshore rigs and Land rigs, and advise if PM system is being followed.
Conduct a condition survey of all equipment and operating systems
installed, including drilling, mud, well control, power plant, electrical and safety.
During inspections of the primary equipment installed, corresponding reviews were carried out on all equipment maintenance records and certification to ensure that equipment was maintained as per
manufacturers’ recommendations and that it was fit for the purpose intended, the location and the present area of operation.
Where required equipment was internally examined and critical measurements were taken and compared to manufacturers’ tolerances and limits.
Equipment was surveyed using as a reference all relevant codes of practice, legislation and regulations currently employed in their region.
Condition surveys were carried out for clients planning to purchase rigs or to award drilling contracts to rigs and I was responsible for evaluating the complete rig equipment to be sure it was all fit for the purpose intended and report any defects with recommended remedial action to be taken.

Control maintenance schedules ensuring that maintenance is completed properly and that equipment is in correct working order. Provide leadership in preventive maintenance on all equipment.
Supervise and participate in rig maintenance and repair. Operate equipment as needed. Ensuring adequate supplies, materials and equipment are available to crew, ordering materials as needed.

Carry out Audits, Inspections, Condition Surveys, Thermographic Surveys for all types of vessels on all equipment types and operating systems, including drilling, mud well control, power plant, electrical and safety.
Depending on client requirements the inspections of the primary equipment installed, corresponding reviews were carried out on all equipment maintenance records and certification to ensure that equipment was maintained as per manufacturers’ recommendations and that it was fit for the purpose intended, the location and the present area of operation.

I am an analytical thinker who is comfortable working with both the necessary office computer software and also using the practical hands on tests required to determine accurate survey reports to be presented to clients. Having reached this level of competence I am now looking for opportunities which will allow me to build on the knowledge and experience gained during my recent work in survey and inspections.
I am a reliable/competent employee giving 100% commitment to my employers.
I have gained a total of over 30 years experience offshore with a very wide range of equipment.
I have worked on many different styles of drilling rigs through to large Norwegian platforms, Ships and FPSO’s. I have also gained vast experience overseas on a variety of drilling rigs (Semi’s and Jack-Up’s Land Rig’s, 6th Generation Semi’s), platforms, drill ships, FPSO’s, Diving Support Vessels, all in a large variety of countries like Brazil, Canada, Norway, Denmark, Holland, Baku, Bangladesh, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sudan, Abu Dhabi & Egypt. Many of the countries visited a large number of times. These would have covered a range of tasks from simple inspections, full rig inspections, through to major overhauls and installations and commissioning, on and offshore, including new builds and upgrade projects.
