Directly supervised 80 personnel including two middle level and four lower level supervisors. Ensured all long and short term goals were met, including manpower, materials, budget and temporary staffing.
• Directed an 80 person department that was responsible for an annual operating budget of 18,700 man-days and $9.3 million. Managed all work to completion and resulted in a savings of 1500 man-days & $1.1 million for the year.
Engineering Officer/Project Officer USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) 2003-2006
Directly supervised 100 personnel in the day to day operation, planning, training and maintenance, which including four mid-level supervisors and six lower level supervisors.
• Maintained responsibility and quality oversight for ships electrical safety program covering of up to 4500 personnel.
• Spearheaded a 10 person team with an outside organization to design and install a $20 million flight deck and hanger bay announcing system.
Electrical Chief/Project Supervisor USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) 1998-2003
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Ship’s Nuclear Electrical generation and distribution system. Overseeing the day to day operation, training and maintenance of 100 personnel, including four lower level supervisors.
• Supervised the performance of over 1000 planned maintenance items, with no rework.
• Supervised the troubleshooting and repair of complex electro-mechanical generators, the saved the command $2.5 million in maintenance dollars by not requiring outside repair.
Quality Assurance Dept. Supervisor Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS), Bremerton, WA 1995-1998
Supervised 8 personnel in the active management of a Quality Assurance program responsible for compliance in safety, procedural compliance, and technical accuracy for a 800 person organization.
