Objective: Identifying the right promotion for Lipton’s Iced Tea.
Sample surveyed: 500
Since it involved studying the competition and buyer behavior, descriptive research was selected as method of study. It involved:
? Conducting surveys and focused groups outside retail shops in Bangalore
? 25 Food World Outlets were chosen to conduct surveys
? Targeted crowd in the 30’s and late twenties, which included working professionals and homemakers
? Observed other summer drinks, and identified ways of differentiating Lipton’s Iced Tea from the competition
? Studying retail promotional activities
Conclusion: From our findings we came to conclude that Lipton would have to promote its iced tea as an all time drink, instead of just another summer drink. Since the competition hadn’t figured of road shows or college fests, we suggested it as a great means to attract a younger crowd.
